Frequently asked questions

Find answers about execution, data access, plans and the marketplace.

01 Getting started and execution

Can I run tasks on the website?

Use the website to browse employees, workflows and guides. Assigning and running work requires the desktop app, with the agent running on the designated computer.

Do I need a separate model API subscription?

You do not need to buy a model API specifically for RunTeams. Connect Codex CLI or Claude Code with your existing provider account and subscription. Its fees, usage limits and terms still apply.

Does work continue when my computer is asleep or offline?

The executing computer, RunTeams and your agent must be available, with network access when the task needs it. Work does not move to a cloud computer when yours sleeps or goes offline.

02 Data and access

Where is my work stored?

RunTeams is moving to a local-first architecture: reusable employees and workflows sync, while chats, work files and results stay on the executing computer. Some older work paths are still being updated. Local execution does not mean task content is never sent to your chosen model or external services.

Do employees automatically gain access to my email and files?

Adding an employee does not grant access to all email or files. Connect services and authorize materials as needed, and check the agent configuration on the executing computer. Existing native extensions and access follow the agent’s official mechanisms.

Is my content sent to third parties?

Prompts, materials and tool results needed for a task may be sent to your chosen agent provider or connected services. Check those services and permissions before assigning work. See the privacy policy for details.

03 Plans and teams

How do the three Free plan schedules work?

The limit counts active schedules across employees, workflows and recurring automations. Pausing or moving one to trash releases a slot. Failures and retries do not use extra slots, and one-off manual tasks do not count.

Does a team automatically share everyone’s credentials?

No. Employees and workflows are shared through organization permissions; complete task content is not synced by default. Provider accounts, computer credentials, files and service access are configured separately for each execution environment.

How do I purchase or manage a paid plan?

Choose a plan and billing period on the pricing page, then sign in and review the order as prompted. To manage renewals and view invoices, open Subscription and billing in the desktop app.

04 Marketplace and delivery

How do employees and workflows differ?

An employee handles a type of work. A workflow connects several employees’ tasks in steps. Start with a small task for one employee, then combine them when a clear handoff is needed.

Does adding an employee start work immediately?

No. Choose an available agent channel and complete setup and access first. Then assign a task or enable a schedule. Marketplace rental conditions are shown on each asset’s detail page.

Should I review the results?

Yes. Check the content, evidence, gaps and unresolved questions before using it. Complete configured approvals before external sends or important changes. A completed status does not guarantee correct content.
